Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz has insisted he is not trying to take the No.10 shirt away from anyone amid talks of a move to Liverpool earlier this week .

Sky Germany claim Wirtz wants to take the No.10 shirt at Anfield, which is already owned by Alexis Mac Ellister. However, a day after the reports were published, the 22-year-old Germany international took to his Instagram Stories to clarify.

The Premier League champions have reportedly made two bids for the 21-year-old playmaker, including a club-record £109 million offer, both rebuffed by the Bundesliga side. Talks remain active, with Liverpool expected to return with a third bid edging closer to Leverkusen’s £126 million valuation.

“Who said I want No.10? I respect other players. Don’t believe everything that is written,” he said, เล่นเกมคาสิโน UFABET ทันสมัย ฝากถอนง่าย adding a clown emoji.

Wirtz started his senior career with Leverkusen in 2019, switching to No.10 for the last two seasons.

At international level, Wirtz has worn No.7, 11, 15, 17 and 24 for Die Mannschaft.

Although his shirt number issue has been resolved and a five-year contract has been agreed with Wirtz, Liverpool are still negotiating a fee with Leverkusen. Claimants of €140-150 million
